One of my all time favourite.
Nayagan-Thenpaandi cheemayile
- Marutham. Kindly , Click the link to hear the song

For some reason i love this song so much....

I remember , once in the class room someone had this song in their mobile & played it. It was a lunch break & we were all rushing up finishing a home work(in Numerical Methods) that eventually all of us forgot to do the previous evening. Hearing this song.... Naan enga irundhenu marandhu poi...went to some other world. And when i got back to the real world on hearing the bell ringing, it was too late. Sir entry - for the first time, am sitting in his class without completing the H.W. I had the option of copying the answer - but i never wanted to do that.
I was hoping he wouldn't come & hit my note, but what happened?
Lucky me.... First row'la vera yaaru noteyaavadhu eduthrukka koodadha? Matnenda.....
He took my note & went through what topic he had covered the previous day. Then came to THIS PAGE- where the problem was hanging in the air....and looked through his glasses at me.Enaku semma bayam. My imagination took its worst form.And in my head" Paataa da kekra paatu-- ippo nee paatu vanguva paaru!!" I was shaken with fear, and I remained silent looking puzzled.
He returned my note book & smiled,said"So students today i will be dealing with..."

Aha...appao naan deal'a?! Ayya jolly!!
Enakku orey gushi!! Namala onnum solama poitereynu!
He used to send the students out of the class if they have not completed the work. But as i said already ,it was THE FIRST TIME- I sat in his class without completing the work . And i was one in that GUMBAL that shouts out the answer first. Hm... Enngayo aramichu engayo vandhuten.

This IS an unforgettable song for me and will always be….

PS:To the devil,dreamzz,arunkumar,KK,Syam,Ranjhith,Nirek,Bharani- Thanku for the comments. I will write on that very same topic later.I will get back with the VERY SAME TOPIC! :

On a well-wishers advice- the original post had been removed. But I shall get back with the same topic later, when things are back to normal.

You know this...I know this...Even if we rise a plea, as someone pointed out, its gonna fall into deaf years...Even the judiciary sometimes fails...Look at the Jessica Lal's case and the delay in judgement...Dont you think our system needs a complete overhaul?Your post is a nice food for thought n ofcourse its my turn to comment first :)

Good try Mathuram. Specially becos, you have tried to sing a song that has a Male voice. You have kept the grief mood. Probably, you need to brush-up on the Post-Production (mixing & stuff) side. Do learn it from somebody. Cheers to u.

Then, yean kolapurenga Song-iaum Rave-iaum? Better you can put them as seperate posts - you might get specific comments to specific posts. Wud be good illaya?

Pinnae, oru post yeazhutheenganna - pls konjam post title kodunga.

I have two objections

1. taking few stray incidents like noida killings and linking that with entire india's freedom is a fallacy
It's a media hype, dont fall prey for that

2. Neglecting poor, children, someone in tears...fine. I accept it. but how much as an individual u can change this.
btw what have you done in past which doesn't fall into this negligence!

//Freedom ofcourse, for those who can bribe the police & others officials in charge//...very true....paisa irukaravanga, power irukaravanga ivangalukudhaan free india...

@Devil,
Yeah yeah... I wonder how they pretend that they never hear(d)! Naalu thattu thatina elaam sari aydum. Chumma chinna thatta iruka koodadhu- IDI mari irukanum..

@dreamzz,
Let us wait.. :)

Marutham said...

@KK,
:) yeah... Lets hope they realise!

Marutham said...

@Syam,
I say oru few days abandoned objects mari nadu rotla vitranum...
Sethu matum poida koodadhu. They should live to feel the pain!
And songs elaam works fine- unga system'la cache enable panlaya? Try that...It works fine :)

Marutham said...

@Ranjhith,
Thanku...Adhu mix panala... I just sang along. And sure- kathukren...adhuku time kedakanum..will do.

And RAVE"A?? :O aha...
sari sari- chill maruthu. POst edit paniruken. vera oru well wisher ippo indha postey vendaam- thokidalaamnu sonaanga! Irukadhu :)

Marutham said...

@Nirek,
:) Hm... I do understand your point nirek.
But oru puzzle'la every small piece makes to the final image. Every pixel- a pic...So idhelaam straynu solla mudiyaadhu. A life is a LIFE!And with these flaws in the system & important pll making statements like "Every case is a bloody nuisanc..." and "This is not new.." Well, so when they knew this is happening- is there no way to seriously deal this issue?
When there had been complains - "all these children from same locality..." Wont it hint some thing is seriously WRONG....??!
They had been neglecting for these people were poor.They might have been under the impression that these people would not make it serious like this.
All that you are saying is fine.But when these attrocities have happened for the small children, every citizen of this country should be ashamed of this.
Ofcourse there are also few sincere people in our system- i dont blame everyone. But had they been a little bit sincere & loyal or atleast humane- these killings would not have taken place at all.

I can't stand a silent spectator on such occassions. And when i am present, i never have remained silent.In the past, i had been helping & saving even some animals when they were in distress. I share the pain & do what i can..i have been doing tha& will continue to do so. I do not turn my face and walk away...never!

MEDIA!
Media hype?? Do u mean to say that the media has created a story out of NOTHING?

Marutham said...

@Bharani,
Yes... it is! And it is very painful to see this in our country!

@MaruthaNattuIlavarasi -
Then Pandi Cheemayiley was superb! You have sung it well. It is a favourite for me too.
...went to some other world.
Very true!
See தென்பாண்டிச் சீà®®ையிலே...

PS: There is a slight difference in the pronunciation of the words between Ilayaraaja and Kamal:
யாரடிச்சாà®°ோ vs யாரடித்தாà®°ோ and
வளருà®®் பெà®±ையே vs வளருà®®் பிà®±ையே

I just thought I should bring this to your notice.

PPS: Do you do somthing with your talent (singing)? or just time pass? I suggest that you cultivate your voice in earnest, if you are not already doing it. Go for classes in the evening (I heard that Kalakshetra offers classes, assuming that you are in Chennai).
